Description
Under general guidance and direction of more senior Business Analysts, analyzes business functions to define 'specifications / requirements' for automating and / or improving business processes and/or applications and breaks those processes down into functional components. May collect data for and writes and/or assists with writing & executing user acceptance test plans to validate all user functionality of applications. Projects and processes with broader scope and moderately complex in nature. Continuing to develop project management skills. Assists more senior Business Systems Analysts in the smooth implementation of projects. Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. Typically functions as a secondary liaison between a business unit and the systems applications / development and programming areas, but may on occasion act as the primary liaison. Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.
Qualifications
Analysts typically possess a Bachelors Degree with strong analytic and systems skills, solid knowledge of finance, and strong problem solving & communication skills. 2 - 4 years experience within financial services operations with a strong understanding of the process or processes in the business unit.
